Castro Candaz Mencía is a red wine that offers a purely Atlantic experience, sometimes wild, crafted from heroic viticulture. Created by the renowned Raúl Pérez and Rodrigo Méndez, this wine has become a cult classic due to its light, racy character.

This wine showcases the potential of traditional Ribeira Sacra varieties, with a focus on Mencía. The grapes are harvested manually and winemaking involves minimal intervention to capture the maximum expression of the variety and the terroir. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is aged for 6 months in 500-liter used barrels.

Castro Candaz Mencía presents a nose of wildflowers and mountain herbs. On the palate, it is light with very fine tannins, offering an elegant sensation throughout. Best served at 16ºC.
