Tentenublo blanco is a blend from very traditional and ancient grapes of rioja: Viura, Jaen Blanca and Malvasia Riojana (or Alarije) The grapes for this wine are sourced from four very low yielding vineyards that are 35-67 years old in the Rioja Alavesa town of Viñaspre.

The Tentenublo Blanco provides an inviting gateway into the world of white Rioja. This wine, part of the distinctive Tentenublo range, carries a whimsical label, reflecting the name's history. "Tentenublo" is derived from the traditional chiming of church bells across Spain's various wine regions, a ritual intended to ward off cloud-borne hail, a well-known adversary of vineyards.

This unique wine blends very old Rioja grapes: Viura, Jaen Blanca, and Malvasia Riojana, or Alarije. Sourced from four low-yielding vineyards aged between 35 and 67 years in Viñaspre, Rioja Alavesa, the vines grow in shallow soils, with marl just 25 centimeters beneath the surface.

Roberto's winemaking approach incorporates a slight touch of oak, only using about 20% and favoring 500l foudres of Hungarian and French oak.. The wine presents a distinctive depth while maintaining a refreshing minerality. Its culinary-friendly nature displays a muted yet expressive combination of fruit and spice, gradually blossoming in the glass. The Tentenublo Blanco provides an impressive value proposition, delivering quality beyond its cost.

With only 5468 bottles produced, we're fortunate to have a share of this exclusive release. Not to mention, the wine's potential for maturation is something we're excited to explore!
